Finding good reviews of scanners is difficult. Most so-called "reviews" do little more than repeat manufacturers specifications and marketing materials. Others are simply places for people to comment briefly on products they have purchased. Generally, neither are very helpful when you are evaluating a number of different models and you would like to see in-depth, complete coverage of the products. We find this quite frustrating.

Most of the reviewed scanners here are currently available, either new or used. These are links to reviews with real insights and content beyond the marketing materials supplied by the manufacturers. This does not mean that all these reviews shed favorable light on the scanners involved. It is not our intention to recommend a particular scanner; rather, we want to provide a resource for use in making your own decisions without spending hours scouring the Internet for these information sources.
