Slide and negative scanning process overview


		You create a Pixmonix account.
		Creating an account lets us know who you are and gives you access to member-only pages of our website where you will be able to place orders, preview your scans, and print mailing labels. We even give you 15 free scans to get you started! Create your account now.

		You place an order.
		Using our online order form, you tell us about the videos, slides or negatives that you would like to convert into digital form and give us details of the digital files you want to receive. We will help you get the details right. Placing your order online gives you an estimate of the scanning or video conversion cost, lets us know that your order is on the way, and allows you to track its progress and preview the images or video after they are converted to digital form. 		You send us your videos, slides or negatives.
		You can print a mailing label (even a prepaid FedEx® label if you choose) from shipping label page of the member area. We give you guidelines on how to package your videos, slides or negatives for shipment and send them to us. If you have questions at anytime during the process, help is just a click or phone call away. Once we receive your package, we will send you an email to let you know that we have it.

		We scan your images or convert your video to digital form.
		Typically, we begin work on your order the same day we receive your materials. We scan using state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained technicians. You can check on the status of your order at any time by logging into your account and going to your secure orders page (which is available after you create an account). 		You review the converted digital images or video.
		When we are done converting your materials to digital form, we will send you an email with a link to your secure preview page. We do this before sending your materials back. We want to make sure you are happy with our work. Let us know if there is anything with which you are not satisfied on any of the images or video. We will make it right. Here is a sample of a scanning preview page and a sample video conversion preview page.

		You approve the scanned images or video and pay for your order.
		After you review your order, you can pay us using a variety of means. We can take your Visa or Mastercard number on the phone, you can pay by check or using PayPal. To pay using PayPal online, simply select your preferred shipping method and click the "Pay Now" button on the preview page or on your orders page. You will be taken to a secure website to pay for your scans. Your credit card information is safe with PayPal and with us.

		We ship DVDs or CDs of your digital images or DVDs with the transferred video back to you.
		After you approve your images, we burn your CDs or DVDs. We use only archival quality gold CDs and DVDs. We then send you the CDs or DVDs and your original materials. We will send you an email with tracking information when we have shipped your order. We always use reliable, trackable shipping methods. You can track your order from your orders page.

		We will help you make the most of your new digital images or video. Our resources page has lots of information to help you along the way. We are always here to answer questions! Edit your digital images, cropping them differently than the original slide or negative, fix exposure problems or even edit the contents of the picture. Make prints of your digital images on traditional photo paper, mugs, calandars, greeting cards, mousepads and just about anything else you can imagine. Share your images with friends and family by creating DVD slide shows and by sharing your images online or via email Make copies of video DVDs.
